Thank you Sammie from One Blue One Pink for tagging me in the mum tag.
1. Are you a stay at home mum, or a working mum?
I’m very lucky to be a stay at home mum.
2. Would you have it any other way?
At the moment, no. I enjoy taking the girls to school and being able to pick them up. Scarlett starts school this September and I’m making the most out of our time we have together with the odd mornings and afternoons shes not at pre-school. When Scarlett does start school, I will start looking for part-time work within a school.
3. Do you co-sleep?
No and we never have. We’ve been very lucky as from a young age both the girls pretty much settled straight away in their rooms.
4. What was your one must-have item for your baby?
All in ones sleepers and rompers. They are so comfortable for little ones to wear, let’s just say we had quite a few.
5. How many kids do you plan on having?
We have two girls at the moment and I would love to have another little one. Ali isn’t against the idea he is just thinking practically, we would need a new car and the girls would end up sharing a room (which there not used to) and don’t know how they would feel, but if it happens I will be very happy!
6. Date night? How many per month?
Date nights? We try at least once a month to go out, but it doesn’t always work that way. I do think it’s important to get ‘us’ time so we will make more of an effort, as nanny has offered to babysit.
7. Your child’s favourite show?
Isabelle is into programs like Jessie, Dog with a blog and good luck Charlie and Scarlett enjoys Jake and the netherland pirates, Doc McStuffin and Sofia the first.
8. Name one thing you bought before you had your baby and never ended up using?
We bought way too many clothes for Isabelle and learn’t our lesson with Scarlett second time round. As a lot of her baby clothes still had tags on.
9. Your child’s favourite food?
Both the girls enjoy making their own pizzas mainly with cheese, chicken and sweetcorn. They do have a sweet tooth (like me) for Krispy Creme doughnuts.
10. How many cars does your family have?
We have 2 cars, Ali uses his mainly for work and my cars more of the family car.
11. Weight before, during and after pregnancy and now?
To be honest, I’ve been quite lucky. I did put on about a stone when I was pregnant with Isabelle and pretty much went back to normal after birth. When I was pregnant with Scarlett hardly anyone knew I was pregnant till I was about 7 months and again lost the baby weight quickly after birth.
12. Dream holiday with your kids?
Walt Disney World in Florida. My child hood memories where in Florida, it’s a magical place. We have taken the girls to Disneyland Paris a few times, which they have really enjoyed but in Disney World that is so much more to do. We are hoping to go in two years time as we want Scarlett to be the age she remembers the holiday. Your never too old for Disney.
13. Dream holiday without your kids?
Dubai! We keep looking at the Jumeirah hotel. I have always wanted to swim with dolphins which you can do, there is an amazing beach, gorgeous weather and a fantastic water park.
14. How has your life changed since having babies?
I love life with the Ali and the girls. I used to have a Mini One before Isabelle was born, but could no longer keep the car, as it’s just not practical with a little one. We now have our own house and keep an eye on the financial outgoings. We are a family of four now, it’s not just the two of us and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
15. Finish the sentence: ‘It makes my heart melt to see……?’
Isabelle and Scarlett getting along, watching their sisterly bond continue to grow each and every day, year after year.
16. Where do you shop for your kids?
I don’t really have a particular place, although we have recently had a Next clearance store open near us and I have got some great bargains. I like to pop into the Disney Store and treat the girls now and again, as we all love Disney. If you look around most retailers you can find some lovely clothes.
These are the girls favourite outfits at the moment.
17. Favourite make up and skin care products?
I mix and match a lot of brands of make-up as at the moment haven’t found a brand which is right for me.
18. Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers. Huggies seemed to leak constantly when the girls were little and I didn’t like the feel either.
19. Have you always wanted kids?
Yes, I have always wanted children, but never thought how many children I wanted or when. I feel so lucky having my two girls.
20. Best part about being a mum?
Being a mummy is the best feeling in the world. I feel so lucky to have the girls in my life, I get lots of cuddles or squeezes (Scarlett likes to call them) kisses and hearing ‘I love you mum’ just amazing. Being loved and I love them to bits, words can not describe.
I’m tagging any mummy who would like to take part in The Mum Tag.
